About Forsyth, GA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The City of Forsyth is a Georgia community that serves as the seat of Monroe County. Approximately, 4,200 people reside here. Forsyth is served by the Monroe County School District, with older students attending Mary Persons High School. Tift College was also located here until it was merged with Mercer University in Macon in 1987. Since 2010, the Georgia Department of Corrections has been housed in the former Tift College site, and the Burruss Correctional Training Center is also located in the city.

Although Forsyth is relatively small, there are still some things to see and do in the area. The Meadows Gun Club & Shooting School offers a range of visitors in need of some target practice. There are several unique restaurants located here, including Grits Café, La Pasadita Café, and Forsyth Country Cooking. Art enthusiasts might like to check out the classes at The Art Buff Studio, and specialty shops in the community include Hobo Joe’s Peach Stand and High Cotton Uptown.

Located in the Southeast U.S., Forsyth is known for humid subtropical climate zones with hot, muggy summers. Average daily highs reach well into the 90s, but even higher thermostat readings have been recorded. Central air conditioning systems are preferred over wall units in the area, as these systems provide consistent cooling throughout an entire space. These systems will also reduce allergens and pollutants in indoor air, improving air quality for the entire family.

Many residents in Forsyth and the surrounding areas choose a heat pump for their home heating and cooling needs. This is an option in the area since winter weather conditions are mild. Average high temperatures reach the mid-50s and higher during January. Snowfall is rare, but since temperatures can fall below freezing, residents do still need to worry about heating. Local HVAC professionals can help Forsyth residents determine if a heat pump or furnace is right for their properties.
